After a five-year tradition of upgrading my iPhone every year, I've decided it's time to give them away and start fresh. Here’s why and how you can get one.
For the past five years, I've had a ritual of buying the newest iPhone model on release day. It's become a habit, a small way of keeping up with the latest and greatest in tech. But recently, I've realized these perfectly good devices are just sitting in a box, collecting dust. They're too good to just throw away or leave to become obsolete in a drawer.
This realization got me thinking about sustainability and the idea of giving tech a new life. Instead of adding to the pile of unused gadgets, I want to make sure these phones go to people who can truly use them. It's about more than just decluttering; it's about giving back and reducing electronic waste.
I have a collection that includes the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15 Pro. Each one is in excellent condition and has been well-cared for. They've served me well, and I hope they'll serve their new owners just as well.
So, I've decided to start a giveaway. The rules will be simple: just tell me why a new-to-you iPhone would make a difference in your life or just share your email and phone number. This isn't a contest of luck; it's a way to find a home for these devices where they will be truly appreciated.
I'm excited to see where they end up and who will benefit from them.
A device is only useful if it's being used. These phones deserve a new life.
I know many of us have old tech lying around. I encourage you to think about what you can do with your old phones, laptops, and tablets. Whether you give them away, donate them, or recycle them, it's a small step we can all take to be more mindful of our consumption habits.
This is just the beginning of my journey toward a more mindful relationship with technology. I'll be writing more about the process and sharing stories from the winners once the giveaway is complete.
Thank you for following along on this journey. I can't wait to share these phones with you all!
